how?

Hummingbird Ecotherapy & Recovery (HER) is inviting wellness studios across Ontario to join a collaborative care network supporting frontline community workers through restorative, eco-informed wellness access.

Frontline workers hold our communities through physical, mental & emotional crisis, deep grief, violence support, systemic injustice through harm reduction & social justice work, yet the incredible people doing the hardest work are are among the most under-supported, have the highest turn over rate and burn-out & compassion fatigue are at an all time high.

HER bridges that gap.

  • Frontline workers are:

    • At high risk of burnout and compassion fatigue

    • Often underpaid and under-resourced
      Carrying climate, social, and systemic grief

    HER exists to build sustainable capacity, not just for movements, but for the people holding them.

    We believe care is infrastructure.

    • Sliding scale or sponsored sessions for eligible frontline workers

    • Pay-It-Forward options for regular clients

    • Or studio-sponsored spots each month

    HER handles:

    • Vetting & eligibility for frontline workers

    • Coordinating access

    • Communicating impact stories (with consent)

    • Providing equity-informed framework & language

    • Aligning the offering with anti-oppressive principles

    Studios provide:

    • A consistent, agreed-upon offering

    • Trauma-aware, inclusive space

    • Collaboration in care-based community building

    This ensures integrity, accountability, and shared values.
