Hannah thiessen
CO-FOUNDER | EVOLUTION & GROWTH
I'm Hannah, a queer gardener, textile artist and writer. I grew up in a modern Mennonite family, in the land of the Attawandaron, Anishaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Inspired by many advocates and change-makers of all kinds, I believe that the liberation of all people is inherently tied to the liberation of our lands, plants, animals and all beings. I’m fascinated with the workings of power, and spend a lot of my time imagining and learning about less hierarchical power structures. One day, I hope to experience shared leadership in a way that feels invigorating for all involved. -

LiChelle Hurst
CO-FOUNDER | DESIGN LEAD
Hi I’m LiChelle, a 5th-generation Black Canadian with my 1/4 black roots tracing back to the Underground Railroad. Navigating life through the intersections of mixed identity while witnessing the systemic oppression of my black single mother and our experience navigating poverty & the discrimination and trauma induced by the Children’s Aid Society (CAS) is what woke me up to my white privilege and into my path and deep commitment to activism, community care, solidarity and ecological justice. I’m rooted in permaculture principles, have spent 4 years on the frontlines of Toronto’s opioid crisis, experiencing the consequences of burnout first hand. I am fascinated by mythology and psychology, driven by creation both visual and musical and share a belief that creation and connection to nature and each other is a must for a decolonized future. -

K. HOLLYHAWK HARTSHORNE
CO-FOUNDER | OPERATIONS
I’m Hollyhawk. As a lifelong community weaver with decades of experience as a mother, creative being, community builder, mediator, and ceremonialist, I’ve dedicated my time to creating spaces where people gather with purpose, grow in relationship, and rise in solidarity and autonomy. I now co-lead Hummingbird Ecotherapy and Recovery, a peer-led initiative supporting frontline workers through inclusive, decolonized care. Together, we’re building a future grounded in shared vision and collective empowerment.
